If you would like our school board member to be sure not to come back to site 1 (the LAEV site) to take 1/3 of the LAEV neighborhood for new Elementary School #20, please write and let her know that. Please also let her know that it is inappropriate to plop down a parking lot in the middle of Eco-Village, and especially on L.A.'s first Car Free Earth Day Celebration (4/22). Let her know there are a variety of design solutions for parking north of First Street that should be possible under the current budget constraints.

Here are important points to make:
1. Please, no parking lot in L.A. Eco-Village. There are design solutions north of First St.
2. Please consider a green car-free joint use development on White House Place Primary Center when it is no longer needed as a school. See concept for a green mixed use development that will benefit the many schools in the area here
3. Thank her and Facilities staff for not bulldozing LAEV for Elementary School #20.
4. You request that if the new school is to proceed that it be designed and built to the highest of the California High Performing Schools Standards (CHPS), and that you advise the LAUSD design team to work with the Los Angeles Eco-Village LEED-Neighborhood Development project team to achieve these high design standards.
