The LA Eco-Village is within a 2 to 15 minute walk of 20 bus lines and 2 metro Redline subway stops. The closest Metro station is the red line at Vermont/Beverly. And buses #16 and #316 on Third Street, #14  on Beverly, #204, #201, and #754 on Vermont, and the #720 or# 20 on Wilshire Blvd. will all put you within walking distance of LAEV.

From LAX via the Flyaway Bus to Union Station

Catch the Flyaway outside each terminal at the Green Sign marked  “FlyAway, Buses and Long-Distance Vans.”  The Flyaway bus comes about every 30 minutes till 11:30 pm, then about every hour till 5:30 am.  Cost is $9.75; you pay when you arrive at Union Station, and they only accept credit or debit cards.  Then present your ticket to the bus driver to collect your baggage.  Make sure you get on the Flyaway headed for Union Station.   The bus driver will load and unload your baggage.

When you arrive at Union Station (about 20 to 50 minutes, depending on traffic), ask directions to the Metro B (Redline) which is inside the building closest to you when you get off the bus.  Go  down the escalator.  Buy your ticket at the wall ticket kiosk ($1.75 plus $1.00 for a tap card).  Catch the Metro B (Redline) subway marked “North Hollywood”.   Metro B train runs about every 5 to 20 minutes, depending on time of day.  Exit at Vermont/Beverly; it is the 6th stop from Union Station and will take about 12 minutes.

When you come up from the subway and are facing Vermont Avenue, turn right (south, away from the mountains) and walk two blocks on Vermont to First Street.  Turn left on First Street for one block.  Turn right on Bimini Place.  You’re in L.A. Eco-Village.  Come to the building or property you are scheduled to be at.

By Metro in Local Areas
We are only a few minutes by foot from the Metro at Vermont/Beverly, the Rapid on Vermont, the Rapid on Wilshire, the #204 on Vermont, the #16 or #316 on Third St., the #14  on Beverly.  See  www.metro.net for schedules or call 213/626-4455.  Generally, these buses come fairly frequently, every 5 to 15 minutes during the day and early evening, and 20 to 30 minutes after 9 pm.

Still driving? If you can’t find a parking space on the street, you may want to park at Vons Supermarket at 2nd and Bimini Pl at the south end of Bimini Place.

From the Hollywood Freeway #101: Exit at Vermont (if coming from downtown, this is about 3 miles north of downtown L.A.; if coming from Hollywood, Vermont is the last of the Hollywood exits). Go south on Vermont about 1/4 mile to First Street. Then continue as above (from intersection of 1st and Vermont).

From the Santa Monica Freeway #10: Exit at Vermont. Go about 4-5 miles
north to First Street and continue as above (from intersection of 1st and Vermont).

From the Harbor Freeway #110: Exit at Third Street. Continue west for 3-4 miles to Vermont. Turn right on Vermont for two blocks to First Street and continue as above (from intersection of First & Vermont).

From the #10 San Bernadino or #60 Pomona Freeway. Take through downtown Los Angeles and interchange onto the #101 Hollywood Freeway heading north.  Exit at Vermont (this is about 3 miles north of downtown L.A. Turn left (south) on Vermont for about 1/4 mile to First Street. Turn left on First Street for one block. Turn right on Bimini.
