Sat.,  April  23, 9:30 – 11:30 am.  Learn about using solar cookers and regenerative gardening in Los Angeles Eco Village.   – IN PERSON

Demonstration of three types of solar cookers. While food is cooking (weather permitting),  walk through and talk about the different types of gardens and- composting.  We will finish with a taste of sun-cooked gluten free vegan food.

This is an outdoor event. Please wear enclosed shoes and comfortable clothes – work clothes if you want to help with compost.  Wear mask, bring sunscreen, bug spray, plate and eating utensils.  Space limited to 15.  Tickets $17.  Reserve and pay here.  Limited number of complimentary tickets with promo code “FreeGuest”

The Rampart Village Neighborhood Council meets the 3rd Tuesday each month at 6 pm.  The 11 member Council frequently takes up issues of urban sustainability in the L.A. Eco-Village and adjacent neighborhoods.  This is a great opportunity to support more inner city sustainability initiatives.  You can join committees, give public input, run for the Board.  Not a citizen, no problem, your input is invited, and you CAN VOTE!
